All across the country could be heard the sounds of celebration amidst a landscape littered with broken piggybanks and threatened schoolchildren relieved of their lunch money as the initial funding goals for production of a movie based on the popular Eric Powell comic book series were achieved.

With the achievement of the initial financing goals Blur Studio may now proceed with production of an initial story reel that is expected to be completed sometime this coming summer. All backers will then be welcomed to a day of meeting the folks at Blur along with an exclusive screening of the finished product.

From the looks of the concept art the story will include some emphasis on the Goon's backstory and will include appearances by such characters as the Nameless One, Fishy Pete, The Buzzard and others fans of the series will no doubt be familiar with.

Perhaps the best part of this particular effort is that we the fans get the opportunity to contribute to the kind of comic book movie that is actually worth making and watching, the kind that the Hollywood studios are Still less than enthusiastic about supporting

I didn't even know about this. But again, its different from the same dribble of the mainstream. Hopefully it'll get its due justice.

And what's an amazon fee?

I was kinda wondering that myself. They collect payments through Amazon. Maybe they demand half a percent for this.

Never read this, but The Amazing Screw On Head HAS to be made an animated series! they did a pilot a while ago, which was sadly not picked up.
