GOTHAM Season 1, Episode 16 Promo; "The Blind Fortune Teller" - Is That 'The Joker'?

Tonight's episode of Gotham was pretty huge thanks to the introduction of an early version of The Scarecrow, but next week won't be holding back either, as "The Blind Fortune Teller" will introduce us to the parents on one Dick Grayson...and The Joker? It seems that way!

I was one of the ones who hated the idea of introducing The Joker, but I'd be lying through my teeth if I said I wasn't excited for next week. That kid freakin killed it.

I still laugh how so many wrote this show off before it even aired!!!!!

Yet it is killing it in ratings and viewers, beating The Flash, Arrow, AOS, Agent Carter, and Constantine. The only thing that is beating this show in the comic book area is The Walking Dead!

Few things SPOILERS: I get what they were trying to do with Crane, but I think his reasons for becoming The Scarecrow were A LOT better in the story "Scarecrow Year One". Personally I think it would have been better for this interpretation to have his dad just torment him psychological rather than just "oh yeah I made the fear toxin and now John is just nuts" but I digress. On a positive note, the Nygma/Cobblepot face off was funny. But is there some weird reasoning why they couldn't just call the club The Iceberg Lounge? And as for that next villain tease......uh.....no

Anyway rant over! :)

I was pissed when they said "No Joke", but when that kid laugh I said to myself Gotham can do whatever they want. It's not like it's connected to the DC Cinematic Universe anyway. Can't wait for next week's episode.

@Nomis Joker in the comics is hundreds of years old. Having him slightly older than Bruce wrecks his story.

@GarthRanzz

You realize this show is completely stand alone not connected to anything........ so it does really matter how they portray this Joker or any other character.

I wanna say that Joker is too soon, but the main characters have such a slow burn that you really get to soak up why they're so great and how insidious their methodologies are.

Just dont rush Joker plzzz

With the exception of Snyder's new immortal Joker origin, Bruce and The Joker are supposed to be the same age or thereabouts. I'm glad to see the clown prince isn't an adult and isn't already established in the world. I want to see the character progression. Gotham has done an outstanding job of that thus far.
