Last night, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon had special guest Jeremy Renner appearing to talk about his new film Kill The Messenger and of course the conversation coasted over to his portrayal of Hawkeye in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron and a picture of what Jeremy does when he's bored on set emerged.

Kill the Messenger is out this Friday,  October 10th, 2014 and Avengers: Age of Ultron releases May 1st, 2015

Is this confirmation that Damon and Renner will be in the next Bourne together? Because Renner didn't deny it and I hadn't heard anything about Renner's character being involved.

Fallon did mention it in the interview. Looks like they're both going to be wrecking people together in the next iteration of the Bourne films.

Unless you have a direct question that starts with "Can you confirm ..." and an answer that is a simple yes or no, then I don't take anything too seriously. Even if he picked up on the precise wording, I am sure he didn't want to stop Fallon and waste time in such a short interview talking about the state of the Bourne Franchise, he was there to plug another film.

Just in case you are interested, from what I have gathered over several interviews where Renner has discussed Bourne, Jeremy knows Damon and Greengrass have a idea for a Bourne story and it looks like that will go ahead at some point. They are currently finalizing a script for a film for his character and that should be filming next summer, but I get the impression he is not sure at this point if that schedule will be affected by the director Justin Lin's involvement with True Detective or if they decide to do a rush job on the Damon / Greengrass film. He has also said that 'they' are excited at the prospect of a Marvel like set-up where the two characters come together in a film down the line. By 'they' I assume he means Universal and he has said all along he would love to work with Damon, but I don't think there have been any recent comments on this from Damon and Greengrass - the last comment I remember from Greengrass was that he was finished with Bourne, so who knows where they stand now.

@Jeni is right though. Until they directly say this is confirmed we only have speculation. Although it seems that Fallon may have slipped up by stating that Renner is working with Damon on the next film. All we can gather from that is that something is being put together. Not much other info is available.

Conan O'Brien is the best talk show host...very funny,great monologues,skits,engaging with guests in a easy & fun way.
All others fail by comparison.
Kimmel is good,Fallon is mediocre,Ferguson is odd but entertaining,Letterman is clever,Leno was shit & it's shameful he was on air for that long.

Am I the only one that thinks Renner is just meh… Really don't know what he was good in? The Town? Meh… Bourne? Meh… Hawkeye? Meh… Ohhh wait Hansel? Nope!
Yeah dudes resume has some decent movies but his performance is always whatever…
Id rather see falcon than Hawkeye in Avengers anyway.
