After directing
Star Wars: The Last Jedi, writer and director Rian Johnson decided to take a break from a Galaxy Far, Far Away and took the helm of
Knives Out, a modern take on the classic detective genre which is set to arrive in theaters this Thanksgiving.
It boasts an incredible A-List ensemble cast headlined by Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Toni Collette, Lakeith Stanfield, Ana de Arma, Don Johnson, Katherine Langford, and Christopher Plummer. Needless to say, it sounds like an absolute must-see, and it also looks like one based on the first trailer which you can watch below.
The cast appears to be on top form here, and one actor, in particular, might steal the show.
The movie will give
Avengers: Endgame star Chris Evans the chance to show a whole new side, according to Johnson in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
"Chris is a terrific actor with great range, and in a change of gear from what we’ve seen him do lately he plays Harlan’s ne’er-do-well spoiled grandson. He turns on the swagger and devilish charm. It’s really fun to watch."
