'The third movie curse is strong with this one.'
Let's face it there are many, many trilogies out there that suffer from the 'third movie curse'. What is the third movie curse for some of you who don't know? An argument can be made that most trilogies have are made up of a solid beginning, a mind blowing epic sequel, and a disappointing conclusion. Trilogies such as Jurassic Park (I don't consider that a trilogy. I consider it just 1 & 2. 3 was a Sci-fi TV movie), Matrix, Godfather, Batman, Jaws. You get the picture. The notable trilogies that ended with a solid conclusion or a great one were:
The Original Star Wars
Lord of The Rings
Indiana Jones
The Bourne Trilogy
The Third movie curse has even made its way to the CBM world. I've heard dozens of complaints about Spider-man 3. The main complaint was that Sony got way too involved and pressured Raimi to the point where he gave up. With X-men 3, the studio grabbed the wrong guy for the job, Brett Ratner. And the story was extremely weak as well. And with Blade....*crickets* So this is where I am curious to hear from the fans. So what, in your own humble opinion, was the superhero trilogy that suffered the worst from the third movie curse?
Was it X-men? Blade? or Spider-man? Vote!
