After Exodus: Gods and Kings comes out later this year director Ridley Scott (Gladiator (2000), Alien (1979), Black Hawk Down (2001)) will be turning his attention to his next project The Martian (2015), which is based on author Andy Weir's novel of the same name. The novel is said to be a mix of Ron Howard's Apollo 13 (1995) and Cast Away (2000). The story will revolve around Mark Watney an American astronaut who becomes stranded alone on Mars and only has the hope of somehow returning home to keep him going.
It is being reported that Donald Glover will be playing the role of a naive young NASA employee who plays a key role during the crisis in Ridley Scott's The Martian (2015). Donald Glover is most know for his musical career as Childish Gambino off screen and on the screen he is most know for his work in the fantastic show Community (2009 - )The To Do List (2013) and next years Magic Mike XXL (2015). Joining Donald Glover will be Matt Damon in the lead role and if rumors are true both actors will also be joined by Kate Mara, Jeff Daniels, Michael Pena, Kristen Wiiig and Jessica Chastain. I for one love this news, even if Ridley Scott's last few films have been let's just say less than stellar I am still excited to see his next film! I am a big fan of Donald Glover and I cannot wait to see him work with this amazing cast. Does this news excite you for Ridley Scott's next film? Let me know in the comments below!

What is the thing that everyone loves about this guy? I mean I've seen him in a couple of episodes of Community, which to be honest didn't even make me smile let alone laugh, and I'm a fan of Chevy Chase but Community was rubbish. I saw Donald rap or mock rap on a tv show and didn't think he was very good or funny and being a nerd I thought that he was someone who I should like but nope, doesn't tinkle my funny bone in anyway at all.

If you don't find Community hilarious then you don't have a funny bone.

While I love Glover, Gambino and Community..

I need to ask, what does this have to do with Comic books and or Comic Book Movies?

We need to stop posting every damn project from an actor or actress that has some affiliation with comic books.

Easily, yet The Big Bang Theory is nominated every year while Sunny is passed over. And TBBT won over Louie, which is BS.
