Wesley Snipes as BLADE

Wesley Snipes was nothing short of fantastic as Blade his version of Blade was actually better than the Blade of the comics. It is a shame that Blade Trinity was crap and not the best send off for Wesley's Blade but the 1st and 2nd were brilliant.

Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman

Bale was good as Batman but his performance really shined as Bruce Wayne. Bale effortlessly played both the playboy Bruce and the real private Bruce that only Alfred and Rachel knew.

Michael Keaton as BATMAN

Michael set the modern day standard for BATMAN and help remove the cheesyness that Adam West left on the character. I don't think Keaton's Bruce Wayne was that great but he was one hell of a BATMAN.

Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark/Iron Man

This was great casting and a great performance Robert made his come back with this role and his career is stronger than ever. Robert really is able to play Tony perfectly and it will be hard to imagine some one else playing Tony in the future.

Chris Evans as Johnny Storm/Human Torch

Chris done a brilliant job as The Torch he really was the only thing that was good about the F4 movies.

Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon

Oldman's Gordon really does look like he stepped off the pages and a great performance came with it too.

Terrence Stamp as General Zod

KNEEL BEFORE STAMP.. I mean ZOD.

Heath Ledger as The Joker

Heath was brilliant and he totally disappeared into the character.

Hugh Jackman as Wolverine

Hugh might be taller than the character is supposed to be and the X-MEN movies quality is debatable but Hugh is great as Logan.

Edward Norton as Bruce Banner

I think Norton was awesome as Banner it is a shame Marvel dropped him and I'm sure Mark Ruffalo will be good but I can't help but be disappointed that Norton won't be in the Avengers.

Chole Mortez as Hit Girl

Chole really did KICK-ASS

Alan Cummings as NightCrawler

Alan really brought Kurt to life with this performance he turned out just the way I imagined Nightcrawler would be like in real life.

Patrick Stewart as Professor Xavier

Perfect casting and perfect performance.

Billy Zane as The Phantom

The movie itself wasn't great but Zane was great as The Phantom.

Christopher Reeve as SUPERMAN

This casting was brilliant and when I think of Superman, Reeve is what I think of.

Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent/Two Face

Eckhart was great as Dent and even more awesome as Two Face.

Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach

Haley was perfect in this role a true powerhouse performance.

J.K Simmons as J.Jonah Jameson

This was another bit of brilliant casting JK was so good as JJ it is just bad on my part for forgetting thanks to Exiles for reminding me.

Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman

Michelle was amazing as Catwoman forget about the stupid origin Burton had for her this version of Catwoman was great. Michelle was one damn sexy Catwoman.

Alfred Molina as Doc Ock

Molina played Ock brilliantly his performance deserves more credit than it got.

Ron Perlman as Hellboy

Ron was the only guy that could really bring Big Red to life and he did that perfectly.

Micky Rourke as Marv

Total perfection Micky was perfect as Marv.

Liev Schreiber as Victor Creed/Sabretooth

Liev was the actor that finally brought us the Sabretooth that was true to his personality and dangerous nature.

Well that concludes part 2, Part 3 will be performances that just didn't seem to work out even with great actors in the role.

Haley was fantastic as Rorschach I [friken] loved Eckhart's Two face, and his amazing look, but Heath wins it all. R.I.P Ledger.

P.S. FIRST!

i loved the dark knight and truly Heath's performance was incredible, but i left the theatre and all subsequent viewings, wishing there was more Harvey Dent/Two Face. Eckhart has actually become my favorite part of that movie even more than Heath's incredible performance as the Joker.

i just hope that somehow we can get more Two Face in TDKR

@L0rdleg0las
I somewhat agree. Ledgers performance as the Joker was incredible and I do believe that he deserved the oscar, Dead or Alive. But Eckharts performance as Two-Face was incredible too. Both of them were great in their roles

@ Havoc
I agree with all of this especially the Bale being Bruce part. the perfect bruce wayne/batman would be Bale's wayne with Keatons batman

Haley was the best. Snipes made Blade come alive. And Christopher Reeve is Superman. It's kind of sad that the great performances list is so short. Without looking up old movies, I can't think of anyone to add. Wait, Michelle Pfiefer as Catwoman (not so much as Selina). Her costume helped as much as Keaton's made him Batman. It still took someone special to wear it.

Good job and I hope you take the eventual criticism better than your worst performances list.

I am eager to see part three.

@marvelguy

It's not that I couldn't take the criticism I just got sick of the back forth crap about Ledger and Routh.
I can't believe I forgot Pfiefer's Catwoman.

RDJ is Tony Stark who ever replaces him in the future has a lot to live up to, Can't imagine anyone doing a better job at all, I don't think there's any thing left to say about ledger dude was amazing, Eckhart doesn't get enough recognition he was great as Harvey dent I wish we could have seen more of him as Two Face. Good list, hopefully we get some good performances from the CBM's this year. and Blade is the prime example of how some times changing things in a CBM can actually make the character and the movie better.

My fave was Oldman - he is the real 'heart' of TDK

His performance is just head and shoulders above everyone else's in my very humble opinion.

I thought Alan Cummings was class too and why they decided to leave him out of X3 is anyones guess.

heath ledger is alright but not oscar worthy & not better than jack nicholsons.

Where the hell is Ian McKellen as Magneto? He brought intelligence and grace to the CBM villain that audiences had never seen before.

I'm sorry but RDJ is Iron Man and therefore the greatest ever CBM actor.

What about jack Nicholson? and Ian Mckellen?
I also don't know about Nightcrawler being on this list.
PaulRom

I definitely agree about Michael Keaton...he wasn't the best Bruce but he was GOOD as Batman.
Christian Bale is what I think of when I think of Bruce Wayne, specifically in appearance. Nuff said...and he's the best Batman too, IMO.
Robert Downey Jr. IS Iron Man. He's the only one who can get the role to perfection. Same with Wolverine.
Reeves was great as Superman, Stewart OWNED as Professor X, Eckhart was perfect as Two-Face, Gary Oldman is Jim Gordon. Oh, and Heath's take on The Joker is down-right phenomenal, he really blew my mind with his performance. RIP

ThomYorke - 3/14/2011, 4:33 PM
i can think of a few more you could add to that list:
ian mckellen as magneto
ron perlman as hellboy
patrick wilson as night owl
mickey rourke as marv
gerard butler as leonidas
nic cage as big daddy
hugo weaving as v
jk simmons as jonah jameson

(that list was a lot longer than planned)

Remove Cumming, Ledger, and Bale and you've got one good list!
SanDevil77
SanDevil77 - 3/14/2011, 8:44 PM
the reason nightcrawler isnt in x3 was officially told in the x3 game. its sorta a prequel to the movie and was said to be the official reason. he told xavier at the end that the life of an x-man was too violent and left. the game was so terrible though that i couldn't imagine anyone actually finishing it to find out. great list havoc.
airrun2000
airrun2000 - 3/15/2011, 5:00 AM
I agree with you on all these but how could you forget Liev Schreiber as Victor Creed, Logan's half-brother and fellow soldier the only actor truly capture Sabretooth's essence.
superbatspiderman
superbatspiderman - 3/15/2011, 3:15 PM
I agree with most of them except for Catwoman because she sucked in that movie.

Plus you forgot Hugo Weaving as V because he brought the character to life from book to screen perfectly.
marvelguy
marvelguy - 3/15/2011, 3:17 PM
JK Simmons!

I thought Liev was okay. Pearlman as Hellboy was terrific and the only reason I watched the second film.

McKellan as Magneto was okay. I don't think he captured the character. Magneto has to be pompous, driven, and still have an air of being maniacal when Charles is away.
