While speaking to the Daily Beast, Winona Ryder has hinted that she might be reprising the role of Lydia Deetz, 27 years after playing the character in Tim Burton's original
Beetlejuice. The
Star Trek actress explained that although she's
"sworn to secrecy" on the project,
"it sounds like it might be happening.” Ryder also admits that had Burton and Michael Keaton (who played Beetlejuice himself) passed then she would have had no interest in returning either, despite the fondness she has for the character.
"It's 27 years later. And I have to say, I love Lydia so much. She was such a huge part of me. I would be really interested in what she is doing 27 years later." So nothing definite, but it certainly sounds like we can expect Miss Ryder to "jump in the line" once again for this sequel.
