THE DARK KNIGHT RETIRES
Launches August 14th, 2013

Los Angeles, CA -- Old Man Henry Productions is proud to present THE DARK KNIGHT RETIRES, a new web series premiering August 14th, 2013 at www.TDKretires.com.

"A disgruntled Batman finally retires. While adjusting to a normal life and dating Catwoman, the Dark Knight's happiness is threatened not only by supervillains, but his own compulsive need to be a hero."

THE DARK KNIGHT RETIRES is an 8-episode parody series based on the Batman legend directed by co-creator Mike Melo and starring Hunter Davis as Batman and various villains. Featuring performances by Jen Lilley (Days of Our Lives, The Artist), Brendan Bradley (School of Thrones, Squatters), Marisa Persson (Break, We Are Angels), Kira Sternbach (Townies, The Closer), and Robert Dunne (Criminal Minds, The Robin Diaries).

After garnering success on YouTube with millions of hits (notably his hilarious Ian McKellen impression videos), co-creator Hunter Davis was looking to expand his fanbase and was approached about new content by writer and producer at Old Man Henry Productions, Mike Melo. Hunter pitched Mike the idea of Batman retiring, and the two set out to write and produce the series themselves. Wanting to take this iconic character and break him down to a relatable person with everyday problems, the concept was to craft a satirical, Curb Your Enthusiasm type of show but with Batman. Mike and Hunter were also eager to create a fresh and comedic take with this everyman Dark Knight, but at the same time remain true to the world of Batman and its iconic characters.

THE DARK KNIGHT RETIRES episodes 1 & 2 begin airing on August 14th with new episodes every Wednesday.

The right to parody is protected... but the use of the music is not. Might want to change it, before WB yanks it from your vids.

Also, "meh."
