With MARVEL gearing up more high profile stories with the Inhumans in the comics I think it’s inevitable we will see them in the ‘cosmic slot’ in Phase 3 along with Dr.Strange and finally a HULK sequel. I predict the following:
2015 – Ant Man
2016 – Indestructible HULK
2016 – Thor 3
2017 – Captain America 3
2017 – Dr.Strange
2018 – Inhumans
2018 – Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet
Now with the Inhumans I think this offers an interesting possibility to expand the range of Super-Heroes in the MCU without ever increasingly silly origin stories and also fill a hole that the X-Men should fill ie the feared outcasts. The Inhumans can also be used to ‘fit’ some characters into the MCU that otherwise would be hard to explain, such as the Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Namor! With Namor I believe the best way to introduce him is as an Inhuman. Why not have the ‘twin’ cities of Atlantis and Attilan as homes for the Inhumans, hell they even sound similar! I personally think this makes great sense and could even spark a bit of friction between the two leaders Black Bolt and Prince Namor.
As for an Inhumans movie my take would be the Kree (who created the Inhumans 1000s of years ago) visit Attilan to get a report on the recent human developments such as defeating the Chitauri and obtaining the Tesseract. The Inhumans have obviously been keeping an eye on us and out of our way. Black Bolt is on the side of the humans while Maximus thinks they should step in and ‘control’ us. Maximus also has an eye on the throne. SHIELD comes into contact with Namor and the Inhumans on earth who recruit SHIELD to help them prevent Ronan and Maximus from taking control of Attilan and attacking earth.
I suppose the SHIELD force would have to include some 'supers' given the threat, maybe Cap, Falcon, Hawkeye, Giant-Man, Wasp along with Abigail Brand and Carol Danvers. Captain Mar-Vell could be a part of the Kree force who defects to help SHIELD in turn meeting Carol Danvers.
During the final battle between Black Bolt & SHIELD vs Maximus & Kree, Mar-Vell sacrifices himself and gives his powers/suit to Carol creating Ms.Marvel!
