What shows should marvel pump out alongside their Movies?

Marvel clearly is looking to get into the TV show business. It provides a cheaper, faster way to get more of their properties into the universe. I’m here to talk about who they should produce and when.

2014 Agents of Shield

By the looks of it, Marvel won’t be making a second show any time soon. It would seem a tad rushed as well to just keep adding more TV shows right off the bat, however you have to add to this show. Agents of Shield season two has to add some more characters, give us mockingbird. We get a superhero, maybe an extra agent or two. But I don’t see these 6 agents carrying the show to far. We need a little more flare going forward

2015 Agents of Shield and Heroes for Hire

Now its time to bring out the team that probably the most perfect for TV. Heroes for Hire. Luke Cage and the Iron Fist origins and starting out, taking down some evil, but don’t quite team up with anyone yet. Just have them together for a while.

Agents of Shield can add Spider Woman in my opinion, and maybe another hero. Deathlok maybe, but either way they should add super powers to the show by season 3.

2016 Agents of Shield, Heroes for Hire, Moon Knight

Agents of Shield should wrap up in season 4. We will have seen enough of them by now, in my opinion it would be time to finish this thing up, and leave the door open for what super heroes they add (In my opinion they should have Mockingbird, Spider-Woman by now. Also Falcon should become a TV regular. Think about it, Anthony Mackie isn’t a super popular Actor. Why not have him reprise his role in as a Shield Agent (Which he is) in the TV show?

Heroes for Hire should stay as Iron fist and Power Man. However maybe try and get Black Widow to show up and help them with an Episode or 2. But keep the focus on the main 2 throughout the first 2 seasons.

Moon Knight should get his origins story. Also he shouldn’t be put on ABC. Give him a tv station were he can be a tad darker. Don’t make it a love fest though. Keep him how he is.

2017. 2018. Heroes for Hire, Moon Knight, Punisher

By now the Heroes for Hire should pick up a few friends. Spider-Woman and Falcon are my favorites but who knows. They should start expanding their team out beyond the main core of heroes.

Moon Knight should get 2 more seasons on his own. Few cameos maybe but he has plenty of interest to himself to carry a solid amount of seasons.

The Punisher should show up on HBO and just kill people… seriously though, there are plenty of tv shows that are a lot like what the punisher does. Just a rough and tough guy, only thing is Punisher will have the help of the MCU to keep him even more interesting and watchable.

2019. Heroes for Hire, Punisher

Moon Knight should join the Heroes for Hire for their final season. The punisher can keep doing his thing. That’s about all I got.

After this, I have a few ideas as far as more TV shows go.

1. Continue Heroes for Hire, however I don’t see this show going to 7+ Years
2. Daredevil and Electra. Daredevil though should be on the Big screen in my opinion
3. Punisher. If its doing well, keep it going
4. Jessica Jones. Personally don’t really like the idea, but lots of people have been talking about it so whatever. Not a terrible Idea, but I feel there are a lot of better characters they can make.
5. Agent Carter. Agents carter in my opinion is kind of a wast of a tv show. I mean can it be good? YES! But the thing is, with the plethora of character to choose from for TV shows, why use the old love of Captain America, who was already done perfectly in the movie?
6. Union Jack and the howling commandos. Union Jack didn’t get a lot of attention in Captain America, so why not show him more instead of Agent Carter?
7. Captain Britain. Probably not anyone’s first choice to have in future movies. So why not make a TV show?
8. Blade. We have already seen a trilogy of him, so seeing any more than 1 movie is slim in the MCU. However he does fit a TV show pretty well, so a couple seasons of the vampire hunter wouldn’t hurt. Also could show the Nightstalkers a lot more.

In closing I’ll say I think the TV universe should stick to more grounded characters. The problem with TV is you don’t get the grand CGI or special affects that you get in a movie. So characters like Iron Man, Dr. Strange or what not don’t have the affect they normally have. That’s why I like the Team show of Heroes for hire, or vigilantes like Moon Knight and Daredevil. Vigilantes are probably going to get the slip, so getting a few of them on HBO, CW, ABC or other networks will help the universe grow. Either way TV is one of the better ways to show character that we may not be able to see fit into future Avengers or solo movies.

Mmmmmk.
One of the best, if not THE BEST superhero type shows to ever debut on national television was Heroes, the first season.
What made it so awesome? The fact that there were all these different non-linear storylines connecting, branching out, and leading to some good things. Just about every single character was loosely based off of or inspired by an X-Man, ranging from Dark Phoenix to Magik. It proved that these characters and actors don't have to be adapted from an already popular source, it just needs a really gripping and interesting story full of characters we can enjoy.

There were very very few episodes that actually showed the entire cast, but they always had something for everyone. If Marvel is going to produce another show, then it needs to be like Heroes.

True tainted. However you can't make all of your tv shows like that. You have to have some that are based on 1 character, 2 characters or so. Heroes for hire could be like that though.

I think introducing Jessica Drew as an Agent of Shield is a fantastic idea but that and Heroes for Hire needs to happen within the second season for this show to stay a float.

Daredevil is actually the best idea for a tv series. Street level villains, minimal effects budget, terrific crime serial drama material. Could easily attract people who enjoy Arrow, as well as The Shield or Sons of Anarchy. And could even have a Black Widow cameo in a season finale or something.

Blade actually had a shot at a TV show.

Agreed Ruadh however I feel daredevil is a big enough character to get movie attention. Daredevil would be great for a TV show, but better for a movie.

Well, he could carry a movie, sure, but if you're a TV exec, and you check out the Marvel properties available to you, especially the ones that Marvel Studios don't seem to be moving on anytime soon...Daredevil would REALLY jump out at me.

It's something that wouldn't have anything in common with Agents of SHIELD as far as tone and humor. It'd be an actual super hero, and one that a tv budget could totally support. To me, it's seriously a no-brainer.

Plus, he HAS gotten movie attention, and that didn't go over so well. Who ever is to blame for that is irrelevant, he had a shot. A tv show would make a lot of sense as a way to reintroduce the character to audiences, and of course a movie is entirely feasible once the series concludes.

I freaking love Moon Kight too! Difinitely one of my all time favorite Marvel characters! He would be a shoe in for tv. Heck, they could even go with the CW approach for Moon Knight and I would love it. Moon Knight, Punisher, DareDevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Blade and even Morbius would all fit very well in the same Marvel tv universe. Out of all of the above we need a. Moon Kight tv show first!
