5) Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance

Why I loved it:
+ Over the top!
+ Great special effects

What I was 'Meh' about:
- Nicholas Cage

4) The Dark Knight Rises

Why I loved it:
+ Great way to tie up the trilogy and plot points from Batman Begins
+ Catwoman
+ The Bat

What I was 'Meh' about:
- Bane and his man tits
- Clear as day Talia reveal
- More of a Bruce Wayne film then a Batman film

3) Chronicle

Why I loved it:
+ Uses found-footage style with super powers
+ Characters are all fulfilling in different ways

What I was 'Meh' about:
- Deehan's scenes in last quarter were borderline ridiculous
- Annoying explanation for why cameras are present (pedophiles?)

2) Dredd

Why I loved it:
+ Dredd kicks a ton of ass
+ Great special effects
+ Rookie subplot is a great way to let the viewer into Dredd's world

What I was 'Meh' about:
- Simple story; almost exactly like the amazing The Raid: Redemption
- Slim chances of a sequel happening

1) The Avengers

Why I loved it:
+ Great pace and energy
+ Awesome perfromances all around
+ Superhero infighting is fun fanboy material
+ The Hulk

What I was 'Meh' about:
- Hawkeye

Not entirely sure how Ghost Rider made it on your list (have to admit I haven't actually seen it but I disliked the first one and have heard nothing but bad things about this one), but the rest seem like good choices (Not a fan of TDKR but I can understand how it made the list).

I missed Dredd in the cinema as it was only being shown for a week in my local one, and only in 3D, so I can't wait to watch that.

As I haven't seen all this year's CBMs, my top 6 CBM related films this year were:
1) Skyfall
2) The Amazing Spider-Man
3) The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey
4) The Avengers
5) Chronicle
6) Looper

My top non-CBMs were:
1) Silver Linings Playbook
2) Argo
3) Lawless
4) Ted

My most disappointing films were:
1) The Dark Knight Rises
2) Prometheus
3) Total Recall
