The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Tina Fey is closing in on the lead female role in Walt Disney Studios' sequel to 2011's The Muppets. She joins Ricky Gervais and Ty Burrell in a part which is described by the site as being "a Russian gulag prison guard" in the Europe set follow-up. Story details are still under wraps, but we do know that James Bobin (who directed the 2011 Muppets film) is back both as helmer and co-writer. This would mark the second time that Gervais and Fey have worked together after they starred in The Invention of Lying. Stay tuned for further updates!
