Summit Entertainment has moved their upcoming action comedy sequel RED 2 to July 19th, 2013, a couple weeks earlier than its original August 2nd date. Despite facing opposition from Universal's R.I.P.D. that same day, the prior release date would have seen the movie face off with fellow comic book movies 300: Rise Of An Empire and 2 Guns. The film, a sequel to 2010's RED, is also now set to open a week after Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim. Do you plan on checking out RED 2?

RED 2 stars Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Lee Byung-hun, Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren.

Wow I totally forgot about RIPD and this movie too wasn't ware that they were actually releasing both the movies. Haven't seen the first RED so I highly doubt I'll watch this. As for RIPD I'll wait till I see some footage, didn't the script get some decent reviews or something (although a script should never be taken at face value)

I'll catch it on blu-ray. To many other blockbusters out there to prioritize this.

Meh. Don't get your hopes up for this one. I live in Montreal and a few friends of mine worked on the film. All were in the agreement that the script was riddled with awful dialogue and a paper-thin storyline. I'm sure that like the first one, it'll be fun to see our favourite aging actors and actresses blow shit up... but don't expect much more.

first one was bad as hell. Only thing that kept me watching this abomination was Mary-Louise Parker and Karl Urban. Both where really good. Mary-Louise Parker owned every scene.

Once upon the year the studios are taking c - class comic and adapt it into d - class movie.
