The hunter will become the hunted according to the latest Kong: Skull Island promo video. It seems the mysterious Monarch has records on Tom Hiddleston's Captain James Conrad. According to the short vid, Hiddleston is playing a former British Special Air Service who served with Australia's Special Forces during Vietnam and now operates as a hunter/tracker. However, it appears that when Monarch sets him up to track down Kong (or whatever they're looking for on the uncharted Pacific island), the hunter will become the hunted.

Comprising the all-star cast are Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, Brie Larson, Jing Tian, Toby Kebbell, John Ortiz, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, Shea Whigham, Thomas Mann, Terry Notary, and John C. Reilly.
Cameras began rolling on October 19, 2015, in Hawaii. Kong: Skull Island is scheduled to be released in North America on March 10, 2017, in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D.
