SOLO Actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge Believes We'll Still Feel Phil Lord And Chris Miller's Influence

We keep hearing about those Solo: A Star Wars Story reshoots and now cast member Phoebe Waller-Bridge has shared her thoughts on Ron Howard and how much of Phil Lord and Chris Miller's work remains...

Solo: A Star Wars Story has undergone a chaotic production with original directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller fired by Lucasfilm when their vision stopped lining up with the studio's. Ron Howard was eventually hired to take over the spinoff and we've heard numerous reports about him essentially reshooting the entire movie. However, cast member Phoebe Waller-Bridge has now said otherwise.

"The handover there was done with such warmth and generosity from everybody, and Ron’s just a master at his craft; he’s going to make a beautiful film out of it," she explained when asked about the transition between directors and what sort of impact that had on the cast of the movie. "You just really trust him and it was just really exciting to work with him. I mean, it would’ve been exciting to just pass him in a corridor, let alone for him to be parachuted in to the film you’re working on."

As for how much of her role - which is rumoured to be a CGI character - was changed, Waller-Bridge added: "We’d done some really, really great stuff with Chris and Phil that everyone was really thrilled with, and I think a lot of that will still be in it." Donald Glover also recently downplayed the reshoots but it's hard to say if they've been told to say that by the studio or it really is the entire truth.

Right now, Solo: A Star Wars Story is still expected to be released on May 25th but we've still not seen so much as a single official image from the movie, never mind that long rumoured trailer. Thoughts?
