The delay could affect Theron's next project, Class Action, which is scheduled to start filming early next year. The 29-year-old Theron hurt her neck while performing stunts on a trampoline late last week. She was taken to a hospital for examination and flew back to Los Angeles on Tuesday, where she is expected to meet with her personal doctors.
"She's resting and hopes to be back to work soon," said Amanda Silverman, Theron's Los Angeles-based publicist at PMK/HBH.
Because Theron's doctors might want to monitor her condition over the next several weeks, the less than $55 million Paramount Pictures/MTV Films production will not resume for a minimum of six weeks.
