Fans of the Aliens vs. Predator franchise now have even more to look forward to in 2017. In conjunction with the release of the long awaited Prometheus sequel Alien: Covenant, publisher Titus Books will be releasing the film's novelisation on 23 May, mere days after the release of the film. The novelisation will be written by none other than Adam Dean Foster, author of Star Wars: From The Adventures of Luke Skywalker. While that is nothing out of the ordinary, a more surprising development is that the same publisher will be releasing a second novel currently titled Alien: Covenant 2, which is being billed as "The Official Sequel to the Blockbuster Film." Running at 304 pages, Covenant 2 is set for a 26 September release. Unfortunately, that's all we know about it at this time, as no covers or plot details have been unveiled. You can pre-order the official film novelisation here and Alien: Covenant 2 here.

Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape. In Theaters - May 19, 2017

Cast: Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, Benjamin Rigby

Welcome, I am Darkknight2149. I am primarily a fan of comic books and their various adaptations, as well as horror and other classic film franchises.

As far as the "DC vs. Marvel" rivalry goes, I'm really not biased when it comes to studios and publishers. Preferences are fine, but I've never understood the basing of opinions purely by the studio/publisher that makes it.
