Arnold Schwarzenegger's 'Predators' Rumored Cameo Revealed

Apparently the early drafts of the "Predators" script suggested Arnold Schwarzenegger's Duke for the role that eventually went to Laurence Fishburne. But according to our friends at JoBlo, that role was meant for Danny Glover's "Predator 2" character.

Slight Spoiler Alert:

According to the site, "the cameo would've taken place at the very end of the film and was originally billed as an "alternate ending" (I'm assuming with the hope they could convince Schwarzenegger to come back).

"The human survivors are sitting bloody and beaten in the jungle. The silence is interrupted by a vibration that grows until it sounds like a freight train is bearing down. Once the dust cloud settles a Predator ship is revealed."

The door opens and dozens of Predators file out. The humans are screwed now. There's nowhere to run. Even if there was, they don't have the energy for any more fighting. The Predators don't attack, but part with two single-file lines on each side of the door. Their leader, with armor covered in "trophies," exits and walks towards them. He slowly removes his helmet to reveal...DUTCH. "Not bad kid...not bad at all." SMASH TO BLACK.

So Ahnuld leads The Predators? That's odd shit. I would have imagined him dropped on the planet at the end of the movie, as a cameo, and then a character in potential sequels.

Even tho this is an old idea it would have ruined the character and the first film. It was NEVER established that any other Predators knew of Dutch defeating one of their own. Also why would they make him leader, unless he killed leader of leaders of the Predators, it would be unlikely seeing how it seems they are a tribal based society, meaning the one with the most trophies would be the best. I liked the idea if he had a cameo during the back-story about his debriefing...BUT he would obviously be much older, unless she had an audio recording then MAYBE they coulda gotten away with it. If he does get a cameo in any sequels, then I'm all for it, but not like this. Keep the continuity the same

Um...no. To be the leader of a race, or even just a unit, of trained-from-birth hunting machines, wouldn't you have to be the roughest and toughest of them all? At least the most ruthless. Dutch (Arnold) didn't even fully kill the Predator in the first film. He just barely survived! No thank you.

bad ending, glad it didnt happen. now if danny glovers character would have been the lawrence fishbourse character that would have been cool. after he killed the predator on earth they knew he was worthy and kidnapped him for thier game preserve, then hes been surviving ever since. that would have been cool, as long as they didnt make him try to kill everyone like fishbournes character.

Dutch as the leader? I ain't gonna lie, that shocked me. Gotta admit, it sure would be interesting as hell.
