A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near future [the year 2020], where the sport of boxing has gone hi-tech, “Real Steel” stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring. Now nothing but a small-time promoter, Charlie earns just enough money piecing together low-end bots from scrap metal to get from one underground boxing venue to the next. When Charlie hits rock bottom, he reluctantly teams up with his estranged son Max (Goyo) to build and train a championship contender. As the stakes in the brutal, no-holds-barred arena are raised, Charlie and Max, against all odds, get one last shot at a comeback.

It honestly looks like one of the worst movies that has ever been made. Hugh Jackman is a tool.

I actually thought the movie was relatively decent. I enjoyed it I must say. Just remember entertainment is subjective folks.

Cheers!

Hugh Jackman is a great actor and I have enjoyed his work mainly his portrayal of Wolverine in the X-Men movies. I feel X-Men Origins was very entertaining but Wolverine wasn't really thoroughly approached correctly. Logan is a deeply troubled character and I feel the studio failed to express the different levels the character was supposed to feel. Now with this movie REAL STEEL from the trailer I saw and the 15-30 minutes I watched at Best Buy, I believe this could be a fairly entertaining movie. Can't wait for the sequel to Wolverine!
