The trailer for long-delayed sci-fi flick Chaos Walking recently leaked online to a decidedly mixed response, but we should get to see an official version pretty soon now that the first poster has been released.
The one-sheet features stars Tom Holland (Spider-Man: Far From Home) and Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker) as protagonists Todd Hewitt and Viola Eade, along with the ominous tagline, "No One Escapes The Noise."
Based on Patrick Ness' best-selling dystopian novel The Knife of Never Letting Go, Chaos Walking follows Todd and Viola as they traverse a dangerous world in which all living creatures can hear each other's thoughts in a stream of images, words, and sounds called "Noise".
Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman helmed the adaptation from a script by Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind) and Jamie Linden (Money Monster).
Production on this one actually wrapped back in 2017, but reshoots (believed to have been overseen by The Girl in the Spider's Web director Fede Álvarez) were required, and Holland and Ridley's commitments to their respective franchises resulted in a lengthy delay.
Chaos Walking also stars Cynthia Erivo, David Oyelowo, Demián Bichir and Mads Mikkelsen. We still don't have a release date, but we should get official word on that with the trailer so keep an eye out for updates.
