What most of you guys might not know, is that Chris Hemsworth (Thor) has another movie coming out in 2011 (Supposivly), a remake of the 1980's movie Red Dawn

The plot of the 1984 movie revolved around The Soviet Army invading America, a small band of teens band together and wage war against the invaders guerilla-warfare style.

The film stared the late Patrick Swayze and Charlie Sheen (Pre-Winning)

The new movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson (Zathura), Adrianne Palicki (Wonder Woman) and Isabel Lucas (Transformers: ROTF)

The plot of the new movie revolves around The North Korean Army invading America, a small band of teens band together and wage war against the invaders.

The movie was apparently filmed and completed around 1 1/2 years ago, release of the film was delayed due to MGM's Financial Troubles, which also effected the next Bond movie. The delay came amid growing controversy in China after excerpts of the script were leaked ( The bad guys where orginally Chinese)

In January 2011, the first cast photo (Above) was released along with news that MGM will release the film once their Chapter 11 restructuring is completed. Red Dawn is one of three already completed MGM projects scheduled to be released in 2011.

i heard the chinese were taken out because they are the biggest grossing movie country outside of america.

so they didn't want to hinder ticket sales by making them the bad guys.

Money makes the world go round. I'm now more excited for the director's cut to come out on DVD with the Chinese as the enemy. The original plot was that the Chinese were coming to collect the $800 billion that we owe them. North Korea hates us, sure, but they only have 24 million people in the entire country. A north Korean invasion would be impossible. We have more people in California than in their entire country. Maybe if they said that they were going to hold that city hostage with a nuke or something, but invasion? Come on.
