In the following interviews brought to you by movieweb James Cameron discusses the following...

-What he thinks of the people that absolutely despise Avatar
-The ridiculous allegations from people online that think he's re-releasing this to "make more money"
-Editing his own films
-What he thinks about the upcoming Ridley Scott Untitled Alien Prequel
-Doing prequels to his own movies like The Abyss
-Titanic 3D coming to theaters
-Directing a real-life version of Aquaman (like he did on HBO's Entourage)
-The inevitable Avatar 2 and Avatar 3, which he plans to shoot back-to-back

and for the Avatar haters

To be honest with you I do not hate "Avatar" nor James Cameron. He has not done anything to make me hate him. I understand that AVATAR is not a great movie, of course it's not "District 9" which was far better in storytellin. But was AVATAR a technological achievement? Yes, yes it was, and take the movie as for what it is: a popcorn flick just as you took "Transformers" as a popcorn flick with mindless action.

I don't "hate" the movie. It's a decent film that has great effects and action to make it an enjoyable, theater experience. But I do hate the ridiculous overreactions of those who love Avatar and can't accept that some people might not like it as much as they do.

@Erickz You know I forgot all about those damn power rangers. I'm no Avatar fan I just know that Avatar was a better film then District 9.

its good but not that good.

he didn't just dis aquaman,he pretty much dis all of dc comics, apart from nolans batman.

what a prick,he wishes he had come up with something like inception.

@deadpool72 just wait he will come out with an interview saying how he pitched the idea of inception to Nolan, just like how he told Del Torro to drop out of the Hobbit.

I didn't hate it but hate that it is overrated! It was a good first time film but as a whole it was mediocre.

I also dislike Cameron with a passion! He is a JERK! Chris Nolan is a real director and a real gentleman.
Supes17
Supes17 - 8/17/2010, 3:20 PM
Yes I think Chris Nolan is the better filmaker. He writes the scripts, produces, and directs his films. But you dont see him bragging about it or stating that the ppl that hate his movies(the few) "secretly love it" lol. BUT, for a JL film, id let James Cameron have a shot at it, Nolan's style is more for dramatic and realistic movies, while Cameron is more into scifi

Dont get me wrong, del toro dropping out of the hobbit to do mountain of madness is possibly the greatest decision.... I totally agree, I just like how James Cameron took credit for it.

Ummm, I also don't think Avatar was a "great" film, but it was a lot better than Transformers. Anyways, James Cameron obviously has some high credentials as he has directed the 1st and 2nd highest grossing movies of all time plus two classics in Terminator 1 and 2, but he's a pompous prick!

All that Avatar is, is Dances With Wolves with Blue Indians!!!! Really who can you like in the movie, the humans were jerks, and the main character turns on his own people, yeah they were jerks but still he jumps ship to become a giant blue savage.

The CG was amazing, but the story was really really lacking any shred of originality!!

District 9 was no better than Avatar, possibly worse (if you can imagine something worse than Avatar). There were even fewer characters in District 9 that a person could like!
