The movie adaptation of Orson Scott Card's Sci-Fi epic Ender's Game hits theaters on November 1, and although we have yet to see a trailer, the media push is beginning. In advance of the upcoming movie, a website has been launched at if-sentinel.com. IF here stands for International Fleet, the global space force tasked with the protection of Earth.
Currently the website features nothing more than a splash page showcasing the logo of the International Fleet, a brief tagline and the ability to follow via social media. However, it is sure to be updated as time goes on.
Additionally, the movie's official twitter feed has been announced: @EndersGameMovie. The twitter account went live on March 25th with the following tweet: "On November 1 – the enemy's gate is down. Are you ready?"
Promotional publishing for the movie has also been announced. Movie tie-in versions of Ender's Game have been anounced and will be available on May 7 in the United States and September 5 in the UK. Two different movie tie-in boxed sets have also been announced. One set will include Ender's Game, Ender's Shadow and Shadow of the Hegemon. The other will include Ender's Game, Ender in Exile, and Speaker for the Dead. Both of these boxed sets will be available on September 17th.
Similarly, "Ender's World," a book of essays edited by Orson Scott Card was released on April 2. The book includes essays by science fiction and young adult authors, a military consultant, a TV executive, and a songwriter.
