Squee! My inner fangirl is going bonkers right now! Can you believe it? The first Divergent trailer is finally here. I'm still not sure about Shailene as Tris. She's totally not small enough, nor does she have blonde hair or blue eyes like Tris does.

The story is set in a future where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Tris Prior (Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it's too late.


DIVERGENT is directed by Neil Burger (Limitless), and is based on a best-selling book series by Veronica Roth. The cast includes: Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Kate Winslet, Ray Stevenson, Mekhi Phifer, Maggie Q, Jai Courtney, Zoe Kravitz, Ashley Judd and Tony Goldwyn. It's set to hit theaters on March 21st, 2014.

Looks like a really poor mans version of the already dubios Hunger games. I think I'm intrigued enough to pass on this one. Wondering if she survives will be half the fun.

I know this will be great. Shailene is gorgeous and extremely talented. I am excited to see how she handles Tris.

Sorry I am going to say it but this looks like another Twilight rip off along the lines of The Host, Beautiful Creatures, and The Mortal Instruments. I have never read the book maybe it is completely different but this trailer screams out to me they are looking for those fangirls to come rushing to this movie.

Just on trailer alone for this movie all I see is Twilight clone because it follow that same formula they all do. Normal girl thrust into strange and hostile world and falls for guy in that world who helps her survive. So to you that seem to love the book sorry I have no desire to read the book and this trailer does nothing at all for me for this movie.

Based off a YA series? IT MUST BE LIKE TWILIGHT AND THE HUNGER GAMES!

Not every novel meant for a younger audience is the same. Same goes for the movie. Stop judging one movie/novel off of other ones. They're not all the same.

The stupidity of people on here amazes me, every film aimed at teenagers with a love story HAS to be Twilight. Yet Twilight was hardly the first film of it's kind and for people who don't like it, they seem to talk about it an awful lot.

@CherryBomb...The sad thing is, most of these movies and books are nothing alike. Twilight and Divergent are not even the same genre. So how exactly could it be a rip-off?
Twilight might have been bad, but there have been shittier novels and movies.
