I personally haven't seen any Planet of the Apes movies other than Tim Burton's (yes, I'm ashamed to say so), but the newer films directed by Rupert Wyatt and Matt Reeves look amazing, and I can't wait to see them! Below, you guys can tell us all what you thought of this one, and how much you can't wait for the next!

A substance, designed to help the brain repair itself, gives rise to a super-intelligent chimp who leads an ape uprising.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a 2011 American science fiction film directed by Rupert Wyatt and starring James Franco, Freida Pinto, and Andy Serkis. Written by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, it is 20th Century Fox's reboot of the Planet of the Apes series, intended to act as an origin story for a new series of films.

I was glad they simply had Caesar wishing to have freedom for his race by the end and independence and not an evil anti-human agenda. It would have been all to easy of the filmmakers to make him flip to that after a few weeks in the care of a few bad people.
