George Lucas thinks the world will end in 2012.

According to Seth Rogen, George Lucas believes the world will come to a crashing halt in 2012.

While talking with the Toronto Sun, Rogen said he was shocked when the Star Wars creator went on for 20 minutes about how the world will end in 2012.
Here`s what Rogen had to say about this interesting encounter with George Lucas

“George Lucas sits down and seriously proceeds to talk for around 25 minutes about how he thinks the world is gonna end in the year 2012, like, for real. He thinks it.

“He’s going on about the tectonic plates and all the time Spielberg is, like, rolling his eyes, like, ’My nerdy friend won’t shut up, I’m sorry...’

“I first thought he (Lucas) was joking... and then I totally realized he was serious and then I started thinking, ’If you’re George Lucas and you actually think the world is gonna end in a year, there’s no way you haven’t built a spaceship for yourself... So I asked him... ’Can I have a seat on it?’

“He claimed he didn’t have a spaceship, but there’s no doubt there’s a Millennium Falcon in a garage somewhere with a pilot just waiting to go... It’s gonna be him and Steven Spielberg and I’ll be blown up like the rest of us.”

I must say, I never really pegged Lucas for the type to believe in ancient prophecies but I suppose anything is possible.

`Nuff said!

So thats why Lucas is planning is releasing the movies in 3d starting 2012! He just figures "screw it, the world will end and the last things those nerds see will be Jar Jar Binks, The best character in Star Wars history!".

If the Mayans were so [frick]ing smart and psychic that they could see the end of the world hundreds of years later, how come they werent able to predict the CONQUEST OF THEIR LAND AND THE ELIMINATION OF THEIR PEOPLE. I mean if I was writing that calander i might highlight that part over the end of the world in 2012 when i wouldnt even be alive.

Have i been gone that long that they cast the frickn villains for TDKR, Vaughn believes the X-men have promise, and Lucas thinks the worlds gonna end in 2012. WTF just happened.

The Mayans weren't psychic, they were early mathmeticans and astronomers. They didn't believe the world was going to end in 2012, but just the end of this cycle. They believe the world worked in cycles. There calendar just started back over at the end of the cycle. Its like what we considers "eras" in history. That's all. George Lucas is nuts. Period.

@Suspense Great video... Funny as hell.

I almost voted Justice League, but it was too basic, mostly cause its too early. That's okay...plenty of time for more trailers.

Dr. Strange was AWESOME!

Doctor Strange looks the best. WW looks like a DC version of Captain America. I was waiting on her to throw her shield. A war period time piece, yeah, we've seen that before.

Doctor Strange was the only trailer to really impress. Batman's 180 personality wise was way too jarring and reeks of desperation and Wonder Woman sadly looks like TV mellow drama wrapped in "been there done that" awkward action scenes. That is just my opinion though.

Wonder Woman trailer was boring as sin (lost interest within first thirty seconds, honestly couldn't tell you anything that happened in it apart from the awful change in music right at the end).

Justice League was... meh. Seemed more like a collection of what should've been mid-credit scenes in each characters solo film. Forcing everything together is what made BvS so poor so it's nice to see DC have learnt from that... /sarcasm.

Dr Strange just looks bat s**t crazy and exciting. Wins by a landslide.

Kong looked really dull and was a huge disappointment.

King Arthur just looked by the numbers.

Lego Batman Movie looks as charming and nuts as it should do.

Fatastic Beasts was the worst of the lot. Managed to be even more boring than Wonder Woman while also destroying all the intriguing charm the teaser gave us a few months back.

Really? Justice League? That was really underwhelming, and understandably so because it's just a sizzle reel. Wonder Woman was the best trailer.

Although my order would be Dr. Strange - WW - JL, all three of them did look quite promising.

But that might be because I'm quite old and the idea that a Dr. Strange movie is going to come out is almost in "pinch me I must be dreaming" territory.

Plus I've been burned by recent DC movies too many times to allow myself to get overly enthusiastic about good trailers. The MoS trailers looked fantastic too.
