Ghostbusters is one of the most successful and recognizable comedies. It still brings joy and laughter to new generations everyday and rarely disappoints viewers with its charm and quality.

We have been waiting for another Ghostbusters movie to come out for years, but as the years have passed we have slowly lost hope that another film would come out. Dan on the other hand has never given up the idea of a third film. He has been pushing for another Ghostbusters for years and I think now he is finally getting what he has been fighting for.

Ghostbusters 3 is actually going to happen. Dan said it himself. "It is so far along that there are actually plot secrets and things that I can not even share yet." - Dan Aykroyd

He has recently shared these plans on Larry King and on WGN.

Dan talks about how in this new movie there will be something that is threatening our dimension and effecting the length, width, height, and time, and the "new" Ghostbusters will have to find away to deal with this problem. That's right, the Ghostbusters are getting a whole new cast. But don't worry Dan Aykroyd is going to be playing his old role and Rick Moranis has been contacted to come back and revisit his old role too. Unfortunately Bill Murray will not be coming back, but Dan said "there will be a hole for Bill, and if he wants to walk in we will find a place for him."

So it looks like this movie is finaly getting underway, and I am excited to see what the future brings for the Ghostbusters.

Dan Aykroyd can bite my shiny metal ass.

No Bill, no sale. We already have Ghostbusters 3, it was the video game which Bill voiced. Do a sequel to that or just do a CGI animated Ghostbusters movie like so:

Having no Bill is like selling X-Men with no Wolverine or Justice League with no Batman & Superman or Avengers with no Iron Man.
