Is Bill Murray out of Ghostbusters 3?

Early this year, Ivan Reitman issued out a statement in regards to the so called future project "Ghostbusters 3", "Virtually everything you’ve read on the internet [about Ghostbusters III] is not accurate." With nothing confirmed for a while and the rumor mill running amuck, really no one has a clue whats going with this project. Recently, Dan Aykroyd was a guest on Dennis Miller Radio Show and was interviewed and asked about any developments on this so called "Ghostbusters 3", and this is what he said, "My character, Ray, is now blind in one eye and can't drive the cadillac. He's got a bad knee and can't pick up the pack. Harold [Ramis], Egon, is too large to get into the harness. We need young blood and that's the promise. We're gonna hand it to a new generation. Production in the spring, I hope." So By reading this, it does make sense that the old crew would be seeking a new pack of Ghost busting individuals to replace them. That was a major rumor back in May and it have been just leaked by Aykroyd. When asked about the infamous Bill Murray, this is what he had to say,"Yes, we will be doing the movie and hopefully with Mr. Murray. That is our hope." While Murray was one of the main characters he then continued saying, ["that he does not make up for the group and it can be done without him"], so........in my eyes it seems that theyre not waiting and they want to get this shot and out there already! I know iam a huge fan of the Ghostbuster movies and Mr. Murray does contribute alot to the comedy but can we really experience another true Ghostbusters movie without him? Sound off as usual in the same place below!

Murray seriously has to get his lazy ass up from the chair and sign!

Anyway hope they make the next movie scary!:)
Wonder what kind of ghost is the main threat?
Somekind of demon would be cool!

Anyone remember ghosts and demons from the cartoon shows (The Real GhostbustersExtreme Ghostbusters, The Real Ghostbusters)? like Samhain, Boogeyman, The Demon God Kahlil, Deadliners, Tempus, Surt,

It is amazing to me, how many airheads we have out there in this world. If anyone out there had been following Bill Murray online the past couple of years and had been paying attention, red flags would have been clearly seen. They have been waving everywhere! Do I know anything for sure by 100%? No, but what I do know is this: Bill Murray began suffering some kind of a health crisis last fall, carrying into winter past February, and I believe he has known for quite some time about something very serious that has happened with his health. Can anyone recognize literal sarchasm when they see it? Bill Murray said he’d only do 3 if were a ghost. Hey people, get a clue! He didn’t mean being cast as a ghost, he meant that by the time filming starts, he expects to be a ghost. That’s why he hasn’t committed to anything. Why would he, if he knew he wouldn’t be around long enough for filming to complete? In his mind, that'd knowingly break a commitment. I disagree with Bill Murray about a lot of things. Personally, I believe when it comes to judgement and decision making that all to often, he's had his head up his rear-end. I can honestly say though, that he is a professional and will not commit to a movie he doesn't plan on making.

Also: Just for the record? Ghostbusters with no Bill Murray will equal a flop, a.k.a. a really bad idea.

I mentioned this elswhere, but I want for what I said to be seen. Because of that, you may see my comments about this elswhere. That's because I am copying and pasting this anywhere I see Bill Murray and Ghostbusters 3 mentioned.

If they give the reigns to new Ghostbusters, why does Bill Murray need to be in it to for it to succeed? The old Ghostbusters roles will be minimal. What don't you people get about that. 10 minutes of them missing Bill Murphy does not mean the movie will flop. And none of the kids these days even care who the old Ghostbusters are. It will be a new generation of Ghostbusters with a chick member. Things change, people change.

If 3 out of 4 of the original GB are in the film, that's good enough for me. Nothing wrong with another shot of comedy ! :)

I think for GB3, just have one more movie centering on the original Ghostbusters and have them realise that they are getting too old for the job and then they end up training a new team. Both teams have to work together to fight a new big bad and at the end, the originals pass the torch to the new ones

This way, we get one more Ghostbusters movie with the originals before they are completely past it and a new trilogy can be started with a new team for a new generation

Shit, I just know Shea LeBuff is going to be in this thing. Whenever there's a great IP that needs an awful, awful reboot you're sure to find ol' Shea. Hey, let's screw up the Transformers. Call Shea! Hey, it's time to ruin Indiana Jones for everybody. Call Shea!
