A couple weeks ago, it was reported that Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who have directed a string of hit films together, The Lego Movie, 21 Jump Street and Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, were Sony's top choice to replace Ivan Reitman for Ghostbusters 3. Based on a recent tweet from Jeff Sneider, Sony will have to look elsewhere.

“The LEGO® Movie,” the first-ever, full-length theatrical LEGO® adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures, opens in theaters February 7, 2014. Directed by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller (“21 Jump Street,” “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs”), it stars Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman, Alison Brie and Charlie Day, with Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.

The original 3D computer animated story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously underprepared.

I want a third movie to be made. I guess the 2009 video game will have to do(loved it by the way)

Wait, Doop.. that's actually a pretty good idea. I should do that, instead of relying on another person, or possibly a third party to fill in the blanks with shit that I didn't actually do for once.

Let this go. Create something new and interesting instead of going back to the well and trying to recreate the magic that was the first movie...the second movie, not so much. Look at Blues Brothers 2000 for a great example of how to sully the memory of original.

Unless it's a complete reboot, I say don't even make a 3rd film. The original cast is to old and Egon died recently. They took to much time dicking around, that this ship has sailed. Sorry boys

If ever made, it will fall short of the original

I dont mind if this film does not get made.

If you've played The Ghostbusters Videogame then you'd know it felt like a third film in the franchise. I regard that game as a part of canon to the films.

As much as I love Ghostbusters, I wouldn't mind if this movie wasn't made. The Ghostbusters ship has sailed.

I wouldn't say no to more Ghostbusters video games though.
