When legions of monstrous creatures, known as Kaiju, started rising from the sea, a war began that would take millions of lives and consume humanity’s resources for years on end. To combat the giant Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. But even the Jaegers are proving nearly defenseless in the face of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the forces defending mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed up former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to drive a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the past. Together, they stand as mankind’s last hope against the mounting apocalypse.

Starring Charlie Hunnam (TV’s “Sons of Anarchy”), Idris Elba (“Thor”), Rinko Kikuchi (“The Brothers Bloom”), Charlie Day (“Horrible Bosses”), and Ron Perlman (the “Hellboy” films), Pacific Rim will be released on July 12, 2013.

At least the debris flying around in this poster kinda makes sense. But you gotta love the black debris/shit trend that's started in posters.

the so called reviews pretty damn mixed(but there from pretty dodgy sites) so I don't know to be honest I mean I love GDT so hopefully it works out for his sake especially at the BO. I'd rather he was the one making meaning-less action movies with robots and amassing billions of dollars than Bay. Does that make me a hypocrite? [frick] YEAH!

@RorMachine even though i'm looking foward to the movie I agree. It looks like one of those movies that can either be really good or really bad, the first trailer was a bit meh and underwhelming, I'm hoping that the new trailer will be far better. Still looking foward to it though

@fettastic

god you've got to be the most retarded person on the site by a landslide. How is saying that a trailer is underwhelming the same as saying that a movie's concept is illogical, stupid and nonsensical like you. Are you that retarded?, seriously.

@fettastic Ror's simply not sold on the movie, he's not bashed the movie and it's concept like you always do. He's just said that he had a bad feeling about the movie I dont see him constantly writing 5 or 6 paragraphs's about why the movie's illogical,cant work and will bomb at the box office like you've been doing. Or other nonsense like "why are they even transporting the monster in the first place", "why is it so goddamned important", "there's no way they can haul it onto the carrier".

Like I said to you before, if you find the concept of the movie dumb, stupid and illogical even though it's a [frick]ing science-fiction movie, a definition that you dont seem to be to comprehend. Then why continously post on articles relating to the movie.

@fettastic

"that somehow means nothing has to make any logical sense and bizarre shit can just happen without explanation"

have you seen the movie?, no you haven't. Is the movie out in cinemas?, no it isn't. So how have you come to a conclusion that you're questions have no answers when you haven't even seen the [frick]ing film like the rest of us. You wait for the movie to be released to see if it answers your questions, or do you not have required thought process to realise that. How on earth are you going to get answers before the film is released.

If all you're gonna do is bitch about minor logical inconsistencies which wont even be detrimental to the plot and are also present in almost any action, fantasy, sci-fi film. Then do yourself a favour and stick to realistic drama films. This aint the genre for you.

@fettastic i've got a life mate, I honestly couldn't give a [frick] whether a movie bombs or how much it makes at the box office. This aint boxoffice.com. Go there if you want to talk about this film's box office gross and whether it'll bomb or not. All i'm interested in is seeing a good film. I'll watch a movie if it looks good, interesting or appeals to me. Dont even know why you're bringing up the gross of this movie in the first place. Also didn't know that a box office bomb equate to a bad movie. You act like you've seen the film already, and that all you're questions haven't been answered when in fact like the rest of us you haven't seen the film.

@fettastic yes because me saying that i'm personally not interested in box office gross and how much a movie makes, is the same as me saying that's it's irrelevant and doesn't matter to a movie, honestly are you that thick headed and dim. Do you not know how to read properly. It's not the same thing.

"you'd like a sequel", "Or Hollywood to make more movies like that", and you're doing it again acting like the movie's out in the cinema and we've all seen it. Why would I want a sequel right now when I haven't even seen the first film in the first place. I dont know what happens in the film, I dont know whether it will be good or bad. That's why you wait for it to be released so see if answers your questions or meets your expectations.
