With Godzilla vs. Kong fast approaching, the marketing campaign is picking up steam, and Warner Bros. is clearly having fun playing with the concept of these iconic behemoths squaring off on screen.
In the latest posters for the crossover event, we get to see a good old-fashioned showdown between the Titans, with a face-off that will no doubt be followed by one helluva big screen battle. Well, that's assuming a theater near you will actually be open...if not, then HBO Max is an alternative, and with the right set up at home, it won't be hard to enjoy this fight for the ages.
We'll no doubt see much more over the next few weeks, including another trailer at some point.
Here's a synopsis teasing what we can expect from the movie:
Legends collide in Godzilla vs. Kong as these mythic adversaries meet in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home, and with them is Jia, a young orphaned girl with whom he has formed a unique and powerful bond. But they unexpectedly find themselves in the path of an enraged Godzilla, cutting a swath of destruction across the globe. The epic clash between the two titans—instigated by unseen forces—is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth.
The cast of Godzilla vs. Kong includes Alexander Skarsgård, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler, and Demián Bichir. It's set to be released on March 31st in the U.S., though it's simply "Coming Soon" in countries where theaters remain closed (it has been dated for March 26th in a handful of locations).
