GODZILLA VS. KONG Sequel's Villain Reportedly Revealed And It's A Brilliantly Barmy Choice If True

We've all been wondering what foe is powerful enough to unite the title characters in Godzilla and Kong, and if this rumour is correct, we can expect the Godzilla vs. Kong sequel to be downright bonkers...

Kaiju fans are majorly excited for the upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong sequel, believed to be titled Godzilla and Kong, but if the two monsters aren't enemies this time around, who will they be teaming up to battle? We've seen Mechagodzilla already, and topping that formidable creation won't be easy.

Now, a new rumour has started doing the rounds (via SFFGazette.com) that may shed some light on who Godzilla and Kong will square off with.

Believe it or not, it's freaking SpaceGodzilla!

Hailing from the Heisei era of Godzilla movies, SpaceGodzilla's origins have always been somewhat mysterious, but this monster is thought to share DNA will another villain called Biollante. A hybrid of both plant and Godzilla DNA, it sounds like this take on the hybrid character will use plant matter to evolve throughout the story.

It's said that Kong will attempt to overcome SpaceGodzilla, only for the King to have to eventually team up with the real Godzilla after their common foe absorbs Kong's axe and becomes near-unstoppable.

In terms of appearance, all signs currently point to it being surrounded by the same crystal-like structure as the original, though it will also be covered in plant matter akin to Biollante. Our brief glimpses at Hollow Earth have shown a number of crystals, so we're guessing that will tie into SpaceGodzilla's introduction.

Many fans had been hoping to see Mecha-King Ghidorah, but we're guessing he's being saved for a future story as the ultimate opponent for these two.

A brief synopsis for Godzilla and Kong previously revealed that the "sequel pits the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence - and our own."

That all but confirmed a team-up, of course, while it's also added that we can expect the sequel to, "delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever."

The Godzilla vs Kong sequel is set to be released on March 15, 2024.

Space Godzilla was never my favorite Godzilla villain but especially in the video games he’s a great endgame opponent and a pretty big threat.

I do hope we can maybe get some spin offs for Mothra, Rodan, Varan, or possibly a War Of The Gargatuas remake

Well crud. I figured if he was strong enough to destroy Superman, Batman, & the whole Justice League, the world destroying villain would obviously be Zack Snyder.

What in the name of Kaijus, caused Josh to think using British slang in his posticle titles was a cool choice? This guy’s spastic nerdgasms on his keyboard are always so cringey 🙄

In regards to which villain is or isn’t in the movie… can we have a source that isn’t a direct to another one of Josh’s pages? Still hoping we get Destroyah soon 🤘🏻
