It's just been announced that new footage from the Michael Dougherty-directed Godzilla: King of the Monsters will debut at Tokyo Comic-Con on December 1.
There's a lot of speculation that this will be the second trailer for the sequel, but that has yet to be confirmed. We're not even sure that whatever does screen will end up online, but here's hoping.
In the meantime, Warner Bros. has shared a new image of the iconic Titan of the title, as he takes a little stroll through the city while helicopters keep a close eye on his movements.
Following the global success of “Godzilla” and “Kong: Skull Island” comes the next chapter in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ cinematic MonsterVerse, an epic action adventure that pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history. The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.
Starring Zhang Ziyi, Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Bradley Whitford, Ken Watanabe, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance and Aisha Hinds, Godzilla: King of the Monsters stomps into theaters May 31, 2019.
