Over the weekend, we finally got another look at Godzilla: King of the Monsters thanks to a second trailer for the upcoming sequel, and while that showcased footage of the trio of new beasts that'll be doing battle with the big fella, director Mike Dougherty has now unveiled a series of character posters which give us our best look yet at Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah.
The banners feature each of the three titans along with some unfortunate military aircrafts to give us a better sense of scale, and Dougherty has thrown in some appropriate Bible quotes for good measure.
It's fair to say that Godzilla is going to have his work cut out attempting to take these guys down.

Rodan
“For the Beast that comes up out of the Abyss will make war with them, and overcome them… and kill them.”
Mothra
“Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions over the earth. They were told not to harm the grass or any green growth or any tree, but only those of mankind.”
Ghidorah
“They have as king over them, the angel of the Abyss. A star fallen from heaven to earth, he opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like that of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened...”
Godzilla
Following the global success of “Godzilla” and “Kong: Skull Island” comes the next chapter in Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ cinematic MonsterVerse, an epic action adventure that pits Godzilla against some of the most popular monsters in pop culture history. The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.
Starring Zhang Ziyi, Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Bradley Whitford, Ken Watanabe, Thomas Middleditch, Charles Dance and Aisha Hinds, Godzilla: King of the Monsters stomps into theaters May 31, 2019.
