New Video Takes Us Behind The Scenes Of KONG: SKULL ISLAND With THOR Star Tom Hiddleston

Revealed during tonight's MTV Movie Awards, the first behind the scenes footage from Kong: Skull Island is here, and it features interviews and some very intriguing details about what to expect.

Directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts from a script by John Gatins and Max Borenstein, Kong: Skull Island is the story of a man (Hiddleston) who travels to the mythical island and home of the king of the apes. A team of explorers ventures inside what they find to be a treacherous island. In this first look at the movie, we get some great behind the scenes footage and some interesting interviews, but sadly no sign of the big guy this movie is named after! That reveal is going to be very cool to see when it does come anyway, especially as King Kong will soon be pitted against Godzilla in an epic crossover movie...

Starring Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, John Goodman, Jing Tian, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, John Ortiz, Shea Whigham, and Toby Kebbell, Kong: Skull Island is set to be released on March 10th, 2017. I didn't know Hiddleston was in the movie but god it has the same vibe as the new Tarzan, will be better though.

@Clark4President - Godzilla would be fully grown by 2020 when he clashes with Kong. That would be something to watch on screen. Still can't believe Legendary made it happen with these two franchises.

Doubt he will be bigger as Godzilla was entirely massive, but they do show a huge ape skull in this featurette, so Kong is definitely gonna be pretty damn big one way or another. I still don't know how they are gonna intend to make the two of them fight, but I'm curious. Especially if this takes place in the Vietnam era, and Godzilla in the present, I don't know how they're going to make that leap.

@MosquitoFarmer - I think they will give a proper reason as to how these two gigantic monsters come in to conflict in this modern era. Maybe Kong can live for thousands of years or he was little back then. Can't wait to find out.

@McU - Yeah. I think Hiddlestan can definitely carry his own movie but I want to see the monsters first and foremost. I don't think I would have minded the human story in Godzilla if Cranston was in it the whole time.
