We have seen couple of concept art images Vin Diesel shared via his Facebook page for RIDDICK, with the last one featuring our first look at the new Necro-armor design. It has also been revealed that the production has been shut down due to money problems. Now, according to Bloody-Disgusting, some new roles have been offered. More below...

"We're being told that offers were made to Andreas Apergis, Katee Sackhoff (White Noise 2: The Light, Growl, The Haunting in Georgia), Bokeem Woodbine (Total Recall, Devil) and WWE wrestler Dave Bautista (The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption).

Apergis would play "Krone", commander of the dark theocracy. Sackhoff would pay "Dahl", a Nordic merc tracking Riddick."

David Twohy is directing the new film, with Vin Diesel and Karl Urban set to reprise their roles. RIDDICK still has no release date.

Betrayed by his own kind and left for dead on a desolate planet, Riddick (Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction.

Didn't care for Chronicles of Riddick anyway. Sure, she's hot, but I will definitely pass on this sequel.

This news is shit these are G-listers at best....

But I did completely forget Karl Urban was set to reprise his role as Vaaco....or however they spelled it.

This article should have just been "Reminder: Karl Urban will be returning for Riddick; two new bitches are in it."

Lol....all kidding aside I can't wait for this movie...loved the first, liked the second and really like Urban's over-the-top type, overly devoted character Vaaco....

It would be REALLY cool to see them as rivals and allies, playing off each other!

@optimus Yep, Vaako was brilliant.

Like Pitch black, really enjoyed COR even if it wasnt as good as Pitch on the script and plot etc.

Really looking forward to this one, epsecially since its going to be back to the harsh hard core reality of the Riddick stories.

and no, i have no idea who these peeps are either but to be honest im not watching it for them :p

Batista huh? The guy looks mean. Not sure how his acting chops are. Doesn't really matter though, cause he will probably die by Riddick's hand anyway lol.

I thoroughly enjoyed BOTH Riddick films. The first one was brilliant, and the sequel i felt was fun in a Stallone's Judge Dredd way(which i loved). But after hearing this news here, i'm with OptimusPrimeTime! The cast is what will make it or break it for me and this is not blowing my skirt up at all.
