THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE is directed by Francis Lawrence, and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. The novel on which the film is based is the second in a trilogy that has over 50 million copies in print in the U.S. alone. Opens on November 22, 2013.

And they are certainly not in the books gale is just desperate to have katniss while katniss consider gale her bestfriend nothing more nothing less while Peeta in the other hand just loves and that's it and will do anything to protect her future and family but the love story is not the main premises of the trilogy is just the oppressed government and a revolution but that "triangle love story" they say it just a minor detail.

What books did you read? There's a love triangle that develops in Catching Fire and especially Mockingjay. President Snow catches Katniss kissing Gale (which happens in the book under different circumstances - he's been beaten almost unconscious) and while yes, she does consider him her best friend, the feelings are definitely there on Gale's side.

Mockingjay goes one step further and makes you think that Peeta's gonna either die or sacrifice himself to fight his conditioning, and Gale's just soaking it all up. Remember the conversation Katniss overhears while they're hiding out with the cat-lady?
