KORE Concept Teaser Trailer

KORE Concept Teaser Trailer

Sci-fi made a huge comeback in 2009 with the success of Avatar, Star Trek, and District 9. Could KORE be the next big thing from the genre?

First, allow me to introduce myself. I'm TheQuestion, longtime lurker. CBM has become my #1 resource for news, so I figured I'd join the foray. Those of you who frequent Superhero Hype may know me as NoirMan82, I brought a lot of info from the set of The Dark Knight a few years ago. With that out of the way, let's get to business.

With science fiction being all the rage now (thanks in no small part to Avatar) it should be no wonder that studios are searching for the next big thing. Polish director Miguel de Olaso (pseudonym MacGregor) is hoping his film KORE will be just that. He has just released a concept teaser trailer for the independently produced feature. I must say, I love the visuals for it. It's very reminiscent of Ridley Scott's Blade Runner, with a little bit of District 9 thrown in. Keep in mind this is just a concept trailer to help garner buzz and visualize the artistic direction, though I do believe it is impressive.

Smart fans will notice the voice work is from the video game Prototype. So, what do you think? Does KORE have what it takes to be the next District 9? That's the hard question.
