KORE Concept Teaser Trailer

KORE Concept Teaser Trailer

Sci-fi made a huge comeback in 2009 with the success of Avatar, Star Trek, and District 9. Could KORE be the next big thing from the genre?

First, allow me to introduce myself. I'm TheQuestion, longtime lurker. CBM has become my #1 resource for news, so I figured I'd join the foray. Those of you who frequent Superhero Hype may know me as NoirMan82, I brought a lot of info from the set of The Dark Knight a few years ago. With that out of the way, let's get to business.

With science fiction being all the rage now (thanks in no small part to Avatar) it should be no wonder that studios are searching for the next big thing. Polish director Miguel de Olaso (pseudonym MacGregor) is hoping his film KORE will be just that. He has just released a concept teaser trailer for the independently produced feature. I must say, I love the visuals for it. It's very reminiscent of Ridley Scott's Blade Runner, with a little bit of District 9 thrown in. Keep in mind this is just a concept trailer to help garner buzz and visualize the artistic direction, though I do believe it is impressive.

Smart fans will notice the voice work is from the video game Prototype. So, what do you think? Does KORE have what it takes to be the next District 9? That's the hard question.

Thanks to slashfilm.com for providing the story.

If you don't get a sci-fi vibe from flying cars and gargantuan cityscapes, my friend, you must live in one awesome reality ;)

Well, when you consider that District 9 came from Alive in Joburg, which wasn't very much more than a few costumes and stock footage, this little concept can be taken a long way.

Thanks Multi! I only posted this because us comic geeks normally like other kinds of movie news. Case in point; Terminator, Percy Jackson, and Clash of the Titans being on the CBM front page right now.

P.S. I approve of lesbians ;)

Dammit you guys have hijacked another post with your dirty pictures. So much for the editors making a more concerted effort to get back to comicbook movies, guesse that doesn't apply to halfnaked women.

Superdog: I agree this site surely isnt for anyone under the age of 18 for sure. With the boobs and buttcheeks all over the place Im surprised the site hasnt been moved to the soft porn section. Now I hope this movie KORE is better than District9,but Im sure it will be or it's a total bust also...to me Dirstrict9 was right out stupid.

TheQuestion- I think the TRAILER looks GOOD!..It
actually made me WANT more! now I need
to find out what the hell is he running
at or from..AWESOME! and WELCOME
p.s- don't mind TEABAG he is a tough
cookie to crack..But that's why
we LOVE HIM!

superdog/blade40- I agree this site should have
a 18 years or older disclaimer
not that I mind the half-naked women
I'm just saying..I thought we were
CLASSING UP this site?

But I think
District 9 was GOOD but not AMAZING
I felt bad for the aliens, cause us
HUMANS can be so HARSH and that probably
what would REALLY happen, WE don't like
change, let alone ANOTHER SPECIES living
on the same planet. I know some animals
and insects are "other" species, but
you know what I mean.

Thanks Peter. I actually think the little snippet of CGI we saw there was very promising. I know Teabag's game, I've been reading you guys' post for so long I feel like I know you all. I find LEEE to be especially funny.
