Total Recall, which is being directed by Len Wiseman from a script by James Vanderbilt, Kurt Wimmer & Mark Bomback, is set to follow the Philip K. Dick's story far more closely than the 1990 big screen version. which is more closely related to Blade Runner. The new story involves nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai, with Douglas Quaid (Farrell) a factory worker in the latter who begins to believe he is a spy, although he doesn’t know for which side.
