NOT GOING TO WATCH

really pumped for this movie, I'm surprised it looks like such a tear jerker, not Nolan's normal fare.

I get it if some people aren't feeling the trailers for this film or if they have a distaste for Nolan's films, I can't absolutely understand that and I respect their opinions. But opting out of a true IMAX experience for a Netflix screening is just blasphemy!

Jesus Christ, I can't wait until CBM updates and gets that "Block-a-user" function so we don't have to endure any more of the same idiotic comments from the same idiotic users.

Anyways, I'm ridiculously excited for this and I'm not watching any more trailers, TV spots, clips, nothing. Total media blackout for me until it comes out in November!

@SauronsBANE: You do know that you could just not read their comments, or comments at all.

I know it's not a great option, but it is an option if people are bothering you that much.

As for the teaser, can't wait. Chris Nolan is probably the only director that can create original epic experiences at the theater. His use of IMAX and high quality, original stories is a combination that no one else is doing lately.

David Fincher is another director who does somewhat equal work, but he doesn't always come through like Nolan has.

I don't consider myself a Nolan'nite, but when a director has proven himself so many times with such massive films, it's hard not to become a devout fan.

I have no doubt that he'll come through with Interstellar, with the amount of incredible actors and interesting story being told in IMAX, I imagine it'll be another Inception worthy experience.

@Liderc, If EVERYONE could manage to "just not read their comments", then I'd be fine with that. Unfortunately, there's a few select users around here that have a habit of derailing comment threads and turning them into personal attacks, flame wars, and so forth...which, unfortunately, not many people are able to simply ignore or skip over those comments.

Short of banning these types of folks, I feel like the "Block-a-user" function would make things MUCH more enjoyable around these parts.

And for what it's worth, completely agree about your points about Nolan!

Is everyone on the verge of tears in this too?

The last trailer looked depressing as fvck.

I see the Banned Troll still is incapable of posting an intelligent comment and resorts to personal attacks and ad hominems as usual. I'm not quite sure why you are so obsessed with my love life. Consider yourself reported again. When you can carry on an intelligent conversation without personally attacking someone, let me know.

This just looks like another earth is in danger so send people out to space film to see what they can do. Perhaps I will see it in a theater, maybe I won't, but why should someone take it so personally that I am not as interested in this film....unless they are a troll...of course.

I know that it may be tough for certain individuals to grasp that I would be more more interested in seeing actual comic book films in the theater, as opposed to other films. It's not like this is ComicBookMovie.com. Certain films don't appeal to me and certain films do. I'd still rate How to train Your Dragon 2 and Belle as two of my favorite films I saw in the theater this year, along with GOTG and CAPT TWS. Interstellar doesn't appeal to me much. Not a big fan of Ann Hathaway and Matthew isn't enough to draw me to see it in a theater. Why this should upset anyone is beyond me.

"Probably will be put on my Netflix list."

Stop trying so hard. If you weren't interested you wouldn't be commenting in all the Interstellar threads about how uninterested you are. I'm not talking it personally nor am I offended, I just thought it would be fun to point out.

@SuperCat and @Mercwitham0uth, I'm with you guys. I like Nolan, but nothing about this movie really entices me. The effects are solid, but I don't find it to be that visually pleasing. The acting looks good, but the story and the drama don't seem like they'd really move me. And it just seems completely devoid of fun. That's a personal taste thing, but I don't really feel like sitting through a long, serious movie with a premise that doesn't seem very interesting and an approach that doesn't look like it will captivate or entertain me.
