The first synopsis of Prometheus has been around for a couple of months now, and we can all agree that there's nothing much that can be taken from such vague synopsis. But thanks to the official Facebook page of the movie (with heads-up thanks to Latino Review), we now get some clearer details on the movie's plot from this new updated (and shorter) version..

Ridley Scott, director of 'Alien' and 'Blade Runner,' returns to the genre he helped define. With 'Prometheus', he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

There we have it. Sound off your thoughts below.

Directed by Ridley Scott and starring Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Patrick Wilson, and Guy Pearce, Prometheus is set to hit the theaters on June 8, 2012.

sounds cool, very original even if it may be a prequel to Alien, if it gets creatively different in the beginning that sets up for Alien, then I count that as "original"....I rather have that than the dumb looking version of "The Thing"
