In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented - but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a "looper" - a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) - is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good... until the day the mob decides to "close the loop," sending back Joe's future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination. The film is written and directed by Rian Johnson and also stars Emily Blunt, Paul Dano, and Jeff Daniels. Ram Bergman and James D. Stern produce.

Directed by Rian Johnson, and starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, Emily Blunt and Paul Dano, Looper is set to hit theatres on September 28, 2012.

Emily Blunt should have been Black Widow. She was actually attached to be her but could not due to her scheduling conflict. But I think she could pull of a Madame Masque.

I think the reason why Joseph Gordon Levitt's face looks different is so he looks more like Bruce Willis so that is it more believable that we would age and turn into Bruce Willis.

So, just wondering... this is no longer a 'comic book affiliated only' website, right? If so, that's good. I like the broader horizon :)

Oh come on....This is a cool-ass concept, but the story falls apart IN THE TRAILER, f'r chrissake! Why would they send the future's JGL (played by Bruce Willis) back in time WITHOUT A HOOD OVER HIS HEAD????? Out of all the people he's blown away for the future-mob, they decide to not cover up the face of ONE person, his future self, and he's just supposed to kill him(self)? That's just shoddy writing imo. I hope there's a very good explanation for this but it looks dumb from where I'm standing....

It should've been heath ledger who plays JGL's older self.
