THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens November 22, 2013.

Was the first one even good?, I've heard it's like a PG version of Battle Royale with a less interesting plot with some Twilight dust sprinkled in.

@Ocelot

The people who compare it to Twilight are idiots.
It was a good movie, it would've been better with a higher rating but for practical and money reasons it wasn't.

The first one is a little slow, BUT it's there to set the story, as the first movie in a franchise will always do. I haven't seen Battle Royale but yeah they're similar but keep an open mind if you watch.

Awesome, but what happened to the braid? It's a must-have for Katniss Everdeen!

I guess they'll have no trouble identifying Katniss Everdeen. But too bad they couldn't have put any of the other victors in there.

@ocelot eh, it is a boring version of battle royale imo. i don't know how enjoyable it can be without reading the books also because as a reader it felt like they took for granted a lot of things (i mean in a "oh they know about this" kind of way) but people seemed to like it so maybe it was just me that felt the movie was slightly empty. if you've seen battle royale you'll be disappointed by this probably, but eh. i understand people comparing it to twilight because of the love triangle thing but meh, most ya novels have love triangles on them so whatever.
