Nikki Finke's GHOSTBUSTERS 3 Rumor Has Been Debunked In Record Time

Nikki Finke, former head of Deadline, has been dropping scoops non-stop since she started her new website and now she has unleashed a Ghostbusters 3 scoop that has been quickly debunked. Better luck next time, Nikki.

Yesterday, Nikki Finke reported that a new Father of the Bride film was in the works, but Steve Martin debunked that rather quickly and today Nikki has some more egg on her face as her latest Ghostbusters 3 scoop has also been debunked almost as quickly as she reported it. Keep swinging for the fences Nikki. Note: Finke has deleted her story from her site, but you can still read what she wrote below.

"Ghostbusters 3 has taken an unexpected and not uninteresting twist as it torturously makes its way to the big screen. Ghostbusters3I’ve just heard that screenwriter Max Landis (Chronicle) is working on a new draft for Ghostbusters 3 with a three-week turnaround. Landis, of course, is the son of director John Landis and costume designer/historian Deborah Nadoolman Landis. "Landis probably is doing more of a ‘polish’ than a Page 1 rewrite," says one source. "Not huge changes, but could be cool," another tells me." - Nikki Finke

Kevin Smith never really confirmed Nikki's DC scoop. Sounds like Finke needs Deadline mo re than Deadline needing Nikki.

Who gives a hot s*** about this franchise anymore. It's been in development hell for way too long. Move on to something else.
