On Thursday, Entertainment Weekly revealed that BOOM! Studios' upcoming Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic book series will make its highly anticipated debut with Issue #0 in January 2016. The series will be penned by Batman Eternal and Nightwing scribe Kyle Higgins and the artist has been slated to be named at a later date.

In case you needed a refresher, back in June, it was announced that BOOM! Studios had acquired the comic book license to Saban Entertainment's prized Power Rangers brand and would be producing brand new comic books starring the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers team, which included Jason, Trini, Billy, Kimberly, Zack, and Tommy. Along with the announcement came the reveal of six awesome Comic-Con covers, done by artist Goñi Montes, featuring a Ranger on each exclusive piece and now, a seventh cover has been released, by EW, featuring the White Ranger.

Check out all seven covers below:

I'm curious when this takes place since it has both the Green and White Ranger costumes featured.

I loved Power Rangers back when I was little, but it's one of those things you look back on with embarrassment at how horrible it really is ... I mean it's just so [frick]ing corny it's unbelievable.

Also to the unoriginal asshats saying yeah pr was cool when I was a kid but now it sucks..

No shit sherlock its a [frick]ing kids show.

This new movie hopfully brings back the nostalgia while making it appealing to adults as the kids.

Can someone please tell me why Saban isn't producing Halloween costumes. They would kill. And I'm not talking morph suits. Something decent with helmets. I'd love to get a blue/black ranger suit for Halloween as ironic but also living childhood dream costume

I always wanted the Green and White Rangers to be separate people.

I've never understood why artist draw fingers with the middle and ring fingers touching each other. Try and hold on to something on your desk right now with those fingers together and the index and pinky flared out to the sides. It's awkward and unnatural.

@WruceBayne, Idk. As long as Jason is the leader, I'm happy.

The artwork is great, and a comic may do PR some justice. They could turn something craptastic and make it readable for teens and children. The show was great and the original movie was cool, so lets see how they rebrand a classic. What's sad is Hollywood's creative minds not being able to create more original content, instead they are rebooting way too often.
