Now you're probably thinking who the heck is Rafe Spall and where have I heard that name? Well most likely you haven't heard he's name but you probably seen he's face in films like (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Grind house). Spall is used as the comic relief in most of these films and I think it could be important to have someone break the tension with a joke after a bloody showdown with a xenomorph.

"Rafe Spall, who has landed a big role in Ridley Scott’s much anticipated sci-fi thriller Prometheus.

Ridley’s movie is about gods and monsters and, contrary to the director’s claim (a smokescreen) that it’s not an Alien prequel, I hear the complete opposite. I’m told a monster is being developed right now that is so terrifying it’s scaring the designers! Anyway, we shall see."

So, what do you guys think about Rafe Spall being cast in Ridley Scott's Prometheus?

he's also a serious actor on the London stage...and previously worked with Ridley Scott on A Good Year... also played a vicious football fan in Green Street Hooligans.. don't count him out so easily he could be a threat from "the company"...

They were going over the script and saw that there would've been 10 mins with noone getting their face f*cked by an alien and created a last minute character to kill.
