We already knew that Atticus Noble liked to get a bit freaky, but the upcoming director's cut of Rebel Moon - Part 1: A Child of Fire will reveal the full extent of his... unconventional sexual proclivities.
Director Zack Snyder recently revealed that his R-rated extended cuts of both movies are going to contain a lot more material, including several scenes involving graphic violence and sex - one of which features Ed Skrien's character and an amorous alien!
In the PG-13 version of A Child of Fire, Ed Skrein's villainous Admiral Atticus Noble has an... encounter with a squid-like alien, but the scene cuts away as the pair go about their business.
The extended cut will include the entire sequence (yay?)
"We had a 179 page script, so the first 11 pages of that, no one's ever seen, because by nature it could only be in the R-rated cut," Skrien tells Total Film. "It is horror. And that was fun to shoot, and I'm excited for people to see that."
"Also, I don't know whether to be worried or excited, because the people at Netflix keep saying to me, 'Have you seen the R-rated cut yet?' and they say, 'Have you seen your alien sex scene yet?' They're like, 'It's crazy. You really went for it, didn't you?'" he continues. "And I'm like, 'I go for it every take and scene, I don't hold back.' So I'm super excited to see that. And I hope I don't become too much of a meme."
We'd say the chances of that meme prediction being accurate are pretty high.
Snyder also shared some new details on his extended cuts, which he sees as "alternate universe" versions of the movies.
"The thing I'm most excited about people seeing when they watch the director's cut is, rather than it being an extended or different version of these movies, they're kind of like this alternate universe version of the movie. That's kind of how I describe them. Even though, of course, there's many scenes that are the same, there's so much that's different, even the points of view are slightly different. And I think that'd be fun for audiences to see this much deeper dive. Each of them is one hour longer, the two movies together are six hours. And I think that that's going to be fun for fans. And also, this is very adult as a difference."
In addition to Skrein, Rebel Moon - Part 2 will see the return of Sofia Boutella as Kora, the titular Scargiver, Michiel Huisman, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Staz Nair, and Anthony Hopkins as the voice of evolving robot guardian Jimmy. The sequel will also feature Fra Fee, Cleopatra Coleman, Stuart Martin, Ingvar Sigurðsson, Alfonso Herrera, Cary Elwes, Rhian Rees, Elise Duffy, Sky Yang, and Charlotte Maggi.

The extended cut of A Child of Fire has not been given an official premiere date. Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver starts streaming on Netflix on April 19.
