Release Date For M. Night Shyamalan's AFTER EARTH Brought Up A Week
Columbia Pictures has moved the release date for M. Night Shyamalan's science fiction film After Earth (which stars Will and Jaden Smith) up a week from its original June 7th bow.
According to Coming Soon, Columbia Pictures has set a new release date for director M. Night Shyamalan's sci-fi film After Earth, which stars real life father and son Will and Jaden Smith. Originally slated to open on June 7th, the post apocalyptic movie will now be released May 31st, alongside wide releases Now You See Me and The Purge. This new release date is a week after Memorial Day Weekend, which will see guaranteed box office hits Fast & Furious 6 and The Hangover Part III clash for the top spot. Whether or not After Earth's moving closer to this battle is a good idea remains to be seen, of course. Do you plan on checking out After Earth in theaters this summer?
