"I mean, ['Interstellar' is] a much more story-driven picture," Matthew McConaughey told MTV News at the Toronto International Film Festival this past weekend when asked how that movie differs to the upcoming Dallas Buyers Club. While he refused to give even the most minor of details away about that story, the actor did have this to say about what it's been like to work with Christopher Nolan. "He knows what he wants. Oh yeah, he knows everything about what's happening on a film set, and what everybody's doing." View the interview in full above. Interstellar also stars Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, John Lithgow, Topher Grace and Michael Caine, and is set to be released on November 7th, 2014.

[Sandra] Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky [George Clooney] in command of his last flight before retiring. But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone–tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth…and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.

Starring Sandra Bullock as Ryan Stone and George Clooney as Matt Kowalsky, Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity is currently set to be released on October 4th, 2013 in North America.

Always liked McConaughey. Glad he finally broke out of romcoms and started taking more serious roles. Too bad it took an Oscar nod for studios to finally take him seriously.

watching him and Bale in Reign of Fire was weird.
At that point in their careers, Bale ought to have done the bad-ass soldier role and Matthew ought to have done the pretty boy role, but they flipped it around and it turned out AWESOME.

@HBarnill: if a film is story driven that means character development and a strong script are the main concern for the director, which sounds great in this case.
